Roots & Relationships Counseling
Filipina Therapist in California | Asian American Anxiety & Relationship Therapy
Our Journey
At Roots & Relationships Counseling, we provide culturally responsive support for adults navigating identity, family dynamics, and relationships shaped by culture and immigration.
Many adults raised in immigrant families carry unique experiences — balancing multiple cultures, navigating family expectations, and finding their own voice while honoring their roots. These experiences can impact relationships, boundaries, and emotional well-being.

We offer a supportive and compassionate space to explore these challenges and work toward healing, clarity, and growth.
Whether you're navigating:
-
Family expectations
-
Cultural identity
-
Intergenerational differences
-
Relationship challenges
-
Anxiety or burnout
-
Life transitions
You don’t have to navigate it alone.
Nurturing Growth Through Connection
At Roots & Relationships Counseling, our goal is to empower individuals to embrace their authentic selves and navigate their emotional landscapes. We aim to provide a nurturing environment where clients can explore their feelings, develop resilience, and foster personal growth.
We are committed to promoting mental health awareness and cultural sensitivity in therapy. By focusing on personal narratives and everyday inspirations, we seek to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who choose to embark on this transformative journey with us.

Hi, I’m Rosanna — a therapist, consultant, and seeker of meaningful moments.
As a Filipina Asian-American woman, I’ve spent over two decades helping others navigate life’s challenges, heal from the past, and reconnect with themselves. I created this space to share reflections, life lessons, and everyday inspiration for anyone who ever felt overwhelmed, out of place, or simply in need of a gentle reminder that they matter.
Here, you’ll find stories about mental health, personal growth, cultural identity, self-care, and the beautifully imperfect experience of being human. Whether you’re a fellow Asian-American navigating the in-between, a busy professional trying to slow down, or someone looking for honest, heart-centered conversations — you’re welcome here.
Thanks for stopping by — I’m so glad you’re here.
Our Approach
Our First Appointment
During our first visit, we’ll take time to talk about what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you may have about the process, and discuss what you hope to gain from counseling.
This first meeting is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding the challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll start identifying goals and how therapy can best support you moving forward.
I’ve supported clients—especially those from Asian and immigrant backgrounds—through some of life’s most challenging moments. I specialize in supporting individuals struggling with shame, guilt, and perfectionism rooted in cultural expectations and family dynamics. In our work together, we’ll gently explore these experiences while developing practical tools to help you set healthier boundaries, build confidence, and treat yourself with greater self-compassion.
